During May’s Older Americans Month, the Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) is partnering with the Bennie Furlong Senior Center for an event on May 24. Seniors will learn how to save money on their utility bills and how to avoid utility-related scams.
PSC representatives will be in Duval County to distribute and discuss water and energy conservation information, assist eligible seniors in applying for the Lifeline Assistance discounted telephone service program, and educate against falling for scams. Additional educational sessions are being held throughout the state.
