The Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) and the City of Tallahassee are teaming up to encourage young people to conserve water in observance of National Drinking Water Week, May 4-10. The Leon High School drama students will perform an original PSC play, Water Wiser, at the City’s annual Drop Savers Poster Contest Ceremony, recognizing winners from Leon County School District’s participating fourth-grade classes.
“Water Wiser encourages students to think now about the importance of water conservation and how we need to preserve this precious resource for our future,” said PSC Chairman Art Graham. “We’re pleased to join the City in supporting this year’s National Drinking Water Week, a perfect opportunity for us to help students learn more about Florida’s water supply.”
The ceremony, sponsored by the City’s Underground Utilities, is scheduled for the following time and location:
Tuesday, May 6, 2014
Lincoln High School
3838 Trojan Trail
