Items of Interest at Upcoming Florida PSC Commission Conference


TALLAHASSEE — The following items are among those scheduled for consideration by the Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) at its Thursday, June 5, Commission Conference:

 

ITEM 1: Docket No. 140029-TPRequest for submission of proposals for relay service, for the deaf, hard of hearing, deaf/blind, or speech impaired, and other implementation matters in compliance with the Florida Telecommunications Access System Act of 1991.  The Commission will address a staff recommendation on the Request for Proposals for bidders to provide a telecommunications relay service system in Florida, when the existing contract expires.

 

ITEM 2: Docket No. 140093-WS  Proposed amendment of Rule 25-30.455, F.A.C., Staff Assistance in Rate Cases; Rule 25-30.456, F.A.C., Staff Assistance in Alternative Rate Setting; and Rule 25-30.457, F.A.C., Limited Alternative Rate Increase. The Commission will consider a staff recommendation on amendments to rules that establish water and wastewater utility revenue requirements for requesting staff assistance in changing rates and charges.

 

ITEMS 9-14: Docket Nos. 130171–130176-WSApplication for approval of transfer of certain water and wastewater facilities and certificates of Aqua Utilities Florida, Inc. to different utilities in five Florida counties.  The Commission will address a staff recommendation on the utility’s request to transfer its water and wastewater systems to five different utilities in Sumter, Washington, Palm Beach, Brevard, and Highlands Counties.
