TALLAHASSEE —
The Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) will begin a hearing on Wednesday, June 3, for Duke Energy Florida’s (DEF) petition to purchase the Calpine Construction Finance Company Osprey Plant as its most cost effective alternative for new generating capacity.
In its January 30 petition to the PSC, DEF also requested approval to construct the Suwannee Simple Cycle Project as its next most cost effective option, if the company does not purchase the Osprey Plant. The hearing is set for the following time and location: Wednesday, June 3, 2015 9:30 a.m. Betty Easley Conference Center Joseph P.
