TALLAHASSEE —
The Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) will hold an administrative hearing beginning Monday, November 7, 2016, for K W Resort Utilities Corp.’s (KWRU) application for a wastewater rate increase. KWRU is requesting $3.4 million in annual revenues to expand its treatment plant, replace a vacuum tank, and cover operation and maintenance costs associated with advanced wastewater treatment standards.
At the administrative hearing, KWRU, the intervenors, and PSC staff will present testimony and other evidence on issues relating to KWRU’s rates and service. Intervenors include the Office of Public Counsel, Monroe County, and the Harbor Shores Condominium Unit Owners Association, Inc. KWRU provides wastewater service to approximately 2,060 customers in Monroe County. The administrative hearing dates, times, and location follow: Monday – Wednesday, November 7-9, 2016 9:30 A.M Harvey Government Center Board of County Commissioners Meeting Room 1200 Truman Avenue Key West, FL 33040 Monday’s administrative hearing will conclude at 4:00 p.m. to prepare for a Customer Service Hearing that begins at 6:00 p.m. at the same location. Tuesday and Wednesday are reserved to continue the administrative hearing, if needed. The hearing will adjourn early if all testimony is concluded
