TALLAHASSEE —
Florida’s Public Service Commission (PSC) is recognizing CareerSource Tampa Bay as a PSC Helping Hand for helping raise public awareness about the Lifeline Assistance telephone discount program and energy and water conservation.
“CareerSource Tampa Bay serves those who often can use assistance with monthly utility bills,” said PSC Chairman Art Graham. “By co-hosting informational events with CareerSource Tampa Bay, we can talk with clients about programs and strategies to stretch their budgets by lowering utility bills during their job hunt, when they need it most.” Begun last year, each month the PSC highlights a partner agency or organization whose clients may be eligible for the federal Lifeline Assistance program and/or may need help curbing energy and water bills. Through these PSC Helping Hands partnerships, the Commission shares vital information to help consumers meet their monthly bills. “We are pleased to be named a PSC Helping Hand,” said Michael Guyette, Jobs and Benefits Supervisor, CareerSource Tampa Bay. “Our customers can benefit from PSC’s helpful information which can make a positive difference in their daily lives.” Look for all the PSC Helping Hand outreach partner recognitions on the PSC’s homepage, www.floridapsc.com, under Hot Topics.
