TALLAHASSEE —
The Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) will conduct customer service hearings on Tuesday, August 19, and Wednesday, August 20, for Florida Public Utilities Company (FPUC) customers. On April 28, 2014, FPUC filed a petition with the PSC to increase its base rates. FPUC’s last approved base rate increase was in May 2008. The utility provides electric service to approximately 31,000 customers.
Commissioners will participate and hear customers comment on FPUC’s rate request during the hearings. Customer comments, written and oral, will be taken into consideration in the Commission’s decision.
