TALLAHASSEE —
The members and staff of the Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) will conduct a customer meeting on Wednesday, October 25, 2006, in Pensacola for customers of BellSouth. BellSouth is a telecommunications company serving approximately five million access lines in 93 exchanges in Florida. BellSouth is seeking to recover fifty cents per customer line per month for 2005 storm damage. If approved, the surcharge would appear on customers’ bills for a year commencing January 1, 2007.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide customers an opportunity to comment on the proposed surcharge and other issues relevant to the company. Customers are invited to attend the meeting at the following time and location:
