TALLAHASSEE —
The following items are among those scheduled for consideration by the Commission at the August 14, 2007, Agenda Conference:
ITEM #5: DOCKET NO. 060635-EU – PETITION FOR DETERMINATION OF NEED FOR ELECTRICAL POWER PLANT IN TAYLOR COUNTY BY FLORIDA MUNICIPAL POWER AGENCY, JEA, REEDY CREEK IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT, AND CITY OF TALLAHASSEE. The Commission will consider a staff recommendation addressing the Applicants’ notice of withdrawal of their petition of need.
ITEM #6: DOCKET NO. 060162-EI – PETITION BY PROGRESS ENERGY FLORIDA, INC. FOR APPROVAL TO RECOVER MODULAR COOLING TOWER COSTS THROUGH ENVIRONMENTAL COST RECOVERY CLAUSE. The Commission will consider a staff recommendation on the appropriate mechanism to recover prudently incurred costs associated with a Progress Energy cooling tower project.
ITEM #8: DOCKET NO. 070339-EG – PETITION FOR APPROVAL OF ENERGY CONSERVATION PROGRAMS, BY SEBRING GAS SYSTEM, INC. The Commission will consider a staff recommendation to approve four new energy conservation programs for Sebring Gas.
ITEM #9: DOCKET NO. 070350-EG – PETITION FOR APPROVAL OF RESIDENTIAL LOAD CONTROL PROGRAM BY FLORIDA POWER & LIGHT COMPANY. The Commission will consider a staff recommendation to approve a current Florida Power & Light pilot program as a permanent demand-side management program.
ITEM #10: DOCKET NO. 070376-EG – PETITION FOR APPROVAL OF RESIDENTIAL THERMOSTAT LOAD CONTROL PILOT PROJECT BY FLORIDA POWER & LIGHT COMPANY. The Commission will consider a staff recommendation to approve a Florida Power & Light Thermostat Load Control Pilot Project for an initial 24-month period.
ITEM #11: DOCKET NO. 070107-GU – INVESTIGATION INTO 2005 EARNINGS OF THE GAS DIVISION OF FLORIDA PUBLIC UTILITIES COMPANY. The Commission will consider a staff recommendation addressing FPUC’s overearnings for calendar year 2005.
