TALLAHASSEE —
Florida’s Public Service Commission (PSC) is showing seniors in the Tallahassee area how to save money during the 10th annual National Consumer Protection Week, March 2-8, 2008. Financial Literacy: A Sound Investment is this year’s theme, and PSC representatives will visit area senior centers to share tips on how to lower residential utility bills.
Representatives from the PSC will be at the following locations in the Tallahassee region to talk about how consumers can make a sound investment, helping their pocketbook and the environment, by conserving energy and water resources. The PSC’s outreach teams will be at the following senior centers in the Tallahassee region at the listed times and locations:
Monday, March 3, 2008 11 a.m. – Noon Statewide Kickoff Event featuring PSC Chairman Matthew M. Carter II Tallahassee Senior Center 1400 North Monroe Street Tallahassee, Florida 32303 Tuesday, March 4, 2008 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Senior Citizens of Madison County 486 SE Rutledge Street Madison, Florida 32340 Wednesday, March 5, 2008 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Jefferson County Senior Citizens Center 1155 North Jefferson Street Monticello, Florida 32344 Thursday, March 6, 2008 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Taylor County Senior Services 800 West Ash Street Perry, Florida 32347 Additional educational sessions are being held throughout the state.
