Florida Public Service Commission Considers Items of Interest at Upcoming Agenda Conference

TALLAHASSEE — The following items are among those scheduled for consideration by the Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) at the Monday, September 29, Agenda Conference:

ITEM 7: Docket No. 060614-TC - Compliance investigation of TCG Public Communications, Inc. for apparent violation of Section 364.183(1), F.S., Access to Company Records, and determination of amount and appropriate method for refunding overcharges for collect calls made from inmate pay telephones.  The Commission will address a staff recommendation concerning a PSC investigation into the provision of inmate pay telephone service in Dade County from 2001 through 2007.

ITEM 8: Docket No. 080512-EQ - Petition for approval of a negotiated power purchase contract for purchase of firm capacity and energy with Vision/FL, LLC, by Progress Energy Florida, Inc.  The Commission will consider a staff recommendation concerning a contract on a proposed 40 megawatt renewable facility in Osceola County, Florida.

ITEM 10: Docket No. 070626-EIReview of Florida Power & Light Company’s Sunshine Energy Program.  The Commission will address a staff recommendation on the PSC’s audit of Green Mountain Energy. Green Mountain administered the Sunshine Energy program for FPL.

ITEM 11: Docket No. 080514-GU - Investigation into 2006 earnings of the gas division of Florida Public Utilities Company.  The Commission will consider a staff recommendation addressing the company’s earnings above the authorized rate of return.
