Florida PSC Considers Items of Interest at Upcoming Commission Conference

TALLAHASSEE — The following items are among those scheduled for consideration by the Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) at the Tuesday, July 26, Commission Conference:

ITEM 5: Docket No. 100160-EGPetition for approval of demand-side management plan of Progress Energy Florida, Inc.  The Commission will consider a staff recommendation addressing the utility’s demand-side management Compliance Plan and Rate Mitigation Plan.

ITEM 6: Docket No. 100155-EGPetition for approval of demand-side management plan of Florida Power & Light Company.  The Commission will consider a staff recommendation addressing FPL’s revised demand-side management plans.

ITEM 11: Docket No. 100330-WS - Application for increase in water/wastewater rates in Alachua, Brevard, DeSoto, Hardee, Highlands, Lake, Lee, Marion, Orange, Palm Beach, Pasco, Polk, Putnam, Seminole, Sumter, Volusia, and Washington Counties by Aqua Utilities Florida, Inc.  The Commission will consider a staff recommendation to acknowledge the utility's implementation of rates pursuant to Section 367.081(8), Florida Statutes, on a temporary basis pending the outcome of the current rate proceeding.

ITEM 13: Docket No. 110194-EI - Petition by Florida Power & Light Company for approval of amendment to economic development rider rate schedule and new existing facility economic development rider rate schedule.  The Commission will address a staff recommendation on a proposal to reduce the thresholds for new businesses to qualify for an economic development electricity rate.
