Florida PSC Considers Items of Interest at Upcoming Commission Conference

TALLAHASSEE — The following items are among those scheduled for consideration by the Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) at the Tuesday, November 22, Commission Conference:

ITEM 3: Docket No. 110013-TPRequest for submission of proposals for relay service, beginning in June 2012, for the deaf, hard of hearing, deaf/blind, or speech impaired, and other implementation matters in compliance with the Florida Telecommunications Access System Act of 1991.  The Commission will consider a staff recommendation on re-issuing a request for proposal to identify companies interested in providing the state’s relay telecommuncations service.

ITEM 4: Docket No. 110001-EIFuel and purchased power cost recovery clause with generating performance incentive factor.  The Commission will consider a staff recommendation on the replacement power costs associated with Progress Energy Florida’s outage of the Crystal River 3 nuclear plant.  The panel will also address the cost allocation methods of the Florida Public Utilities Corporation, Marianna unit.

ITEM 6: Docket No. 110270-EIPetition for approval of base rate increase for extended power uprate systems placed in commercial service, pursuant to Section 366.93(4), F.S., and Rules 25-6.0423(7) and 28-106.201, F.A.C., by Florida Power & Light Company (FPL).  The Commission will address a staff recommendation on FPL’s request to adjust base rates for modifications to the St. Lucie and Turkey Point nuclear units.
