The following items are among those scheduled for consideration by the Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) at its Tuesday, August 14, Commission Conference:
ITEM 5: Docket Nos. 120001-EI, 120002-EG, and 120007-EI – Cost recovery clauses. The Commission will address a staff recommendation on a Stipulation and Settlement Agreement that modifies the methodology used to calculate the allowable return on clause-approved investments. ITEM 6: Docket No. 110320- GU – Petition for approval of Cast Iron/Bare Steel Pipe Replacement Rider, by Peoples Gas System. The Commission will consider a staff recommendation on the utility’s application for an annual surcharge to recover the cost of a cast iron and bare steel distribution pipe replacement program. Florida Public Utilities Company and Chesapeake Utilities Corporation filed a similar joint petition. ITEM 7: Docket No. 120036- GU – Florida Division of Chesapeake Utilities Corporation and Florida Public Utilities Company’s joint petition for approval of Gas Reliability Infrastructure Program. The Commission will address a staff recommendation on the two utilities’ application to implement a surcharge to recover the cost of replacing bare steel distribution pipelines, named the Gas Reliability Integrity Program (GRIP). ITEM 9: Docket No. 120103- EI – Petition of Progress Energy Florida, Inc. to modify scope of existing environmental program. The Commission will consider a staff recommendation on the utility’s petition to modify its Integrated Clean Air Compliance Program due to new Environmental Protection Agency requirements.
